Amati - Free Stringed Instrument Valuation Day in Leominster
The Amati Roadshow will be coming to Leominster on the 3rd September from 9am until 5pm. Amati (www.amati.com) – the new online auction house – are holding a UK Roadshow of free valuation days, offering people the chance to find out what their stringed instruments are worth. At a recent valuation day in Shrewsbury, Amati discovered a rare Bergonzi cello - valued at 300k - much to the amazement of the owner! Amati was co-founded by James and Sarah Buchanan in July 2013, Sarah is the company Director and James offers specialist expertise in valuations.
The roadshow across the UK is building up to the next auction view and exhibition at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, held on the 26 and 27 October, ahead of the online auction on 28 October. Owners of special finds will have the opportunity to have their instruments featured at Amati’s Exhibition in Mayfair, and also the chance for their instrument to appear in Amati’s online auction.
